SA Coaches is committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with the
Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

- Account information: Name, email address, password (hashed)
- Coach profiles: Photo, bio, coaching experience, qualifications, phone, city, club
- Employer profiles: Company name, contact details, job postings
- Documents: CVs, coaching certificates and qualifications
- Activity data: Logins, profile updates, job applications, messages
- Payment information: Processed securely through PayFast (we do not store card details)
2. How We Use Your Information
- Create and manage your user account
- Display coach profiles to employers (when profile visibility is enabled)
- Facilitate job applications and messaging between coaches and employers
- Process credit purchases and transactions via PayFast
- Send notifications about applications, messages, and account activity
- Improve the platform and provide support
3. Legal Basis & Consent
By registering on SA Coaches, you explicitly consent to the collection and processing of your personal information
as described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or deleting your account.
If you are under 18, parental or guardian consent is required before registration.
4. How We Store & Protect Data
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/SSL encryption
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove
your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights Under POPIA
As a data subject under POPIA, you have the right to:
- Access your personal information held by SA Coaches
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information
- Delete your account and personal data
- Object to the processing of your information
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa

with the subject line "POPIA Data Deletion Request".
We will process your request within 30 days.
7. Third-Party Services

- Google Analytics — Anonymised site usage statistics
